Setting a Goal and Keeping Yourself Accountable through Photos

Whether you want to run a marathon, lose weight, climb a mountain or learn to swim, taking photos of your progress is a fantastic way to document the endeavor, and remain accountable to your goals.

If you're working toward a finess goal, document your body transformation by taking a photo of yourself every week as you train. If your intention is to run a marathon, take a photo for every day you increase your distance by an extra mile.

At the end of the project, put your story together in a custom Photo Book where you can add captions and inspirational messages. This way, you’ll always have a reminder of what it took to accomplish your goal.

Getting to Know your City

We live fairly busy lives nowadays with family, work, hobbies, travel and more. It can be easy to forget about enjoying the places we call home. Every city on earth has its own history, beauty and hidden treasures to discover. For a creative project this year, why not make it a goal to explore your city or community? Reach out to the people who know the area best for suggestions on where to go and what to see. Explore a new spot once or twice per month. Whenever something surprises or inspires you, take a photo. At the end of the year, you'll have an awesome collection of photos and memories to make a Custom Calendar. If the photos are really impressive, contact the local tourism office to see if they’ll share your work.

Travel Panoramas

Anyone who travels a lot knows that you take a lot of photographs when you’re somewhere new. A great travel photography project is to take a cityscape or a countryside panorama photo in each place that you visit. Look for something about each location that inspires you and try to capture that feeling in a broad, sweeping shot. Print your best shots on custom Canvas Prints for your own personal art series.

Selfies with Acquaintances

If you’re in the mood for a bit of a social experiment, pick a month and make it a goal to take a selfie with someone you meet each day. Go out and introduce yourself, explain the project and ask them if they’d like to take part. Take notes about each person as you go, an interesting fact or funny anecdote they told you about. Commemorate this project in a Collage Print, Collage Poster or Photo Book and keep your notes on hand. If you still have their contact information, send them a print or copy of the project as well.
